Brazilian facts

A few days ago, while trying to sleep, I thought about some brazilian facts that americans, english or non-brazilians may not know. We, brazilians, knw them very well, but I just wanna show them how the country wich is going to host the World Cup 2014.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my country, it’s just that I think taht most people are not aware of these facts:

A country where if you’re caught driving drunk you only need to give some cash to the police in order to go home freely. And it’s not much, policemen here are cheap.
A country where politicians acused of corruption spent 22.000 in a spa, never minding the public opinion.
A country where you can be shot in your own car on a weekend and the hospital denyes to assist you.
A place where a politician son kills two young boys driving drunk, in more than two times the speed limits and withou license and still didn’t even go to jale.
A place where something can cost two or three times the real price because you may need to pay for public organs to do it in real time, not in lazy burocratic time.
A country where analpgabetic ex clowns are elected to represent the people.
A country who doesn’t know its own anthem, but knows the name of the players in Big Brother 13.
A country where a journalist needs to run away, to other country, to hide from the police wich he exposed for corruption.
A coutnry where the traffic jam can reach almost 300km with stranded cars for no reason
A country where recently more than 200 people died on a fire, most of them because the owner didn’t let them get out without paying the bill, even with the place on fire.

All these facts are easily proved with a quick search on the main brazilian newspapers.
